The Ventures («Венчерз», англ. «venture» — рискованное мероприятие, авантюра) — американская музыкальная группа, играющая инструментальный рок и сёрф-рок. Основана в 1958 году в городе Такома, штат Вашингтон, основателями группы являются музыканты Дон Вилсон (Don Wilson) и Боб Богл (Bob Bogle). Экспериментируя со стилями, со временем группа оказала огромнейшее влияние на развитие музыки во всём мире. The Ventures входит в список групп-бестселлеров, в мире на настоящий момент продано свыше 100 миллионов пластинок. В 2008 году группа включена в Зал славы рок-н-ролла.

Своей виртуозностью исполнения, экспериментированием с гитарным звуком, группа задала основу для огромного количества новых музыкальных групп, тем самым заработав статус «The Band that Launched a Thousand Bands» («Группа, которая положила начало тысячам групп»)[1].

После спада популярности в США, в 1970-х годах, группа не перестала быть популярной в ряде других стран, например, в Японии, в которой они востребованы и по сей день.

Дискография группы насчитывает более 60 студийных альбомов, свыше 30 концертных, и более 72 синглов. На определённых этапах группа экспериментировала с различными стилями, среди дискографии есть записи в стилях сёрф, кантри, твист, элементы психоделичного рока и так далее.

Гитары править

На протяжении ранних лет (1958—1963), The Ventures играли на гитарах фирмы Fender, обычно модели Fender Jazzmaster, Fender Stratocaster, Fender Precision Bass. с этими же моделями группа впервые вышла на сцену. Звук этих инструментов хорошо прослеживается в ранних альбомах, например «The Ventures», «Bobby Vee Meets the Ventures», и «The Colorful Ventures». В 1963 году калифорнийская гитарная фабрика Mosrite представляет заново свою фирменную электрогитару с футуристическим дизайном — Mark 1, выпускается Mosrite именной модели The Ventures, о чём гласит соответствующая маркировка на голове грифа гитары. Группа имела несколько контрактов на производство именных гитар с различными фирмами, например «Aria Guitars» и «Wilson Brothers Guitars», однако впоследствии вернулась к инструментам фирмы Fender. Популярными композициями группы были «Walk, Don’t Run» (1960), «Perfidia», «Lullaby of the Leaves» (1961) и другие. В СССР была наиболее известна композиция «Vibrations» из альбома «Super Psychedelics» (1967), использовавшаяся в заставке телепередачи «Международная панорама», а c 14 марта 2015 года используется в заставке российской телепередачи «Международное обозрение» на телеканале «Россия-24»[2]. Композиция «Vibrations» также цитируется российской группой «Смысловые Галлюцинации» в качестве проигрыша в песне «Розовые очки».
