По состоянию на 2014 год награды вручаются более чем в 150 категориях[3]. По аналогии с порно-«Оскаром» — AVN Awards, XBIZ Award неофициально сравнивают с «Золотым глобусом»[4].
В 2018 году ведущей церемонии была звезда студии Wicked Pictures Джессика Дрейк[5], в 2019 — Сторми Дэниэлс[6].
