Биография

Джон Фирмингер Дути родился 12 мая 1845 года.

Он занимался исследованием Индии и Гималаев.

В 1915 году была опубликована его книга Report on a botanical tour in Merwára (Rájputána) made in January 1886 и его книга Flora of the Upper Gangetic Plain, and of the Adjacent Siwalik and Sub-Himalayan Tracts. Vol. III. Pt. I. Nyctaginaceae to Ceratophyllaceae.
