Группа бесконечно удалённых друг от друга покоящихся частиц обладает минимальной (то есть нулевой) актуальной энергией и максимальной (то есть нулевой) потенциальной энергией. При образовании связанного состояния частиц, актуальная энергия становится положительной, тогда как потенциальная энергия становится отрицательной.
