English: A corroded copper alloy probable buckle plate of probable Early Medieval date, about 650 - 850 AD. The plate is rectangular with worn and damaged edges. In the centre is a silver inlay or piece of silver foil decorated with a triquetra.

Other objects with a silver foil include LIN-C0D1C1, and a parallel for the triquetra design is LVPL-918135. Another similar object is HAMP-994608. The shape of the plate is reminiscent of Medieval buckle plates, leading to the uncertainty over date and function.

This object was referred to the National Finds Advisers and Treasure Team as potential Treasure, but after careful consideration it was decided that the silver inlay constitutes less than 10% of the whole object, and nor would the silver inlay survive as an object in its own right, so the plate does not need to be declared as Treasure under the 1996 Treasure Act.
