English: Original caption: Pakistani scholar Eqbal Ahmad talks to newsmen at the Federal Building here. Ahmad was ordered bound over to Federal Court in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to face charges of plotting to kidnap presidential advisor Henry Kissinger and blow up heating systems in Washington Government buildings. Ahmad, was arrested on January 12th by FBI agents. U. S. Commissioner James T. Balog denied a request by Ahmad's attorney to reduce his $60,000 bond. The reduction was sought on grounds that the other five persons charged in connection with the alleged plot and lower bonds set by the Eastern court.
