The buckle plate is sub-rectangular in shape, with two evenly spaced rivet holes at the attachment end and a central pin hole at the other end. The decoration is divided into three main designs. There is a triangular motif made up of three interlaced arcs, known as a triquetra, situated in between and above the rivet holes. Below this, in the centre of the plate, is a X shaped cross within a square border. Finally, below the cross and above the pin hole, is two semi-circular lines joined together by two horizontal lines.

The metal is worn and greyish brown, with large, light green patches on the reverse. The buckle is 32.2 mm long, 12.8 mm wide and 0.7 mm thick. It weighs 1.3 g.
