Обсуждение:Цандер, Фридрих Артурович

Drbug привет! Was Friedrich Arturovich Zander (aka Фридрих Артурович Цандер) really of German origin? Or perhaps he was Litvanian? I can't figure it out from the internet pages what nationality he was in fact. Mainly from Russian ones. Russian sources just say he was a Soviet rocket scientist and that's it. One source says that his father Artur Konstantinovich Zander (Цандер) was a doctor from Riga and his mother Elenn Zander (Елена Цандер) was a daughter of Saxon (саксонскый) chamberlain and musician Готшальк… I am not familiar with German people living in pre Soviet, Soviet and Russian times, so everything will be just my guessing. If he was perhaps in fact Russian, I have to change his name in Slovene wikipedia from Friedrich to Friderik as we wite Russian names. Best regards. --XJamRastafire 23:27, 27 Янв 2004 (UTC)

Should his 'otchestvo' in English be written as Arthurovich, or is it all right Arturovich?

Yes, this current style is also strange to me. It looks somehow like a personal ID card, but I guess Drbug knows well what he is doing. Also all Wikipedias do not use the same format for persons. I use in Slovene Wikipedia the */† style. (The German version also uses it). English version uses (year-year) style. BR. --XJamRastafire 14:52, 28 Янв 2004 (UTC)
