Karolina-san from Poland to be the first-ever non-Japanese female professional Shogi player
правитьOn 28th, Miss Karolina Styczynska has gotten qualified as quasi-professional female shogi player 3rd class (joryu 3 kyu) on basis of her result of that day at Kenshukai, the school for female professional player applicants operated by Japan Shogi Association. She gets 3 wins and 1 lose so as to meet the cliteria to promote: 9 wins and 3 loses at latest.
She has been the first-ever foreign female to meet that promotion cliteria. Achieving the demanding results in next two years, she'll get promoted to female professional shogi player 2nd class (joryu 2kyu).
