Список самых продаваемых альбомов в США включает музыкальные альбомы, которые были проданы самыми большими тиражами за все годы по данным RIAA. Включены альбомы с тиражом более 10 млн копий[1].

История править

В декабре 2015 года альбом Майкла Джексона Thriller стал первым в истории альбомом, получившим в США 30-й платиновый сертификат и возглавил список[2]. С 1 февраля 2016 года ассоциация изменила методологию подсчёта продаж и стала учитывать стриминг альбомов и синглов[3]. Тогда Thriller получил 33-ю платиновую сертификацию[1]. В августе 2018 года сборник лучших хитов американской рок-группы Eagles Their Greatest Hits 1971—1975, располагавшийся на второй строчке, получил 38 платиновых сертификатов и возглавил список[1].
